Malt and Mortar

I landed a great contract to design a GastroPub menu for a large, gorgeous room on Whyte Ave this Summer. Took months working on a menu in some rather difficult settings. In the middle of this was the busy summer schedule of catering weddings, Taste of Edmonton responsibilities and other work.

We will be opening next week and from that point. Two more weeks of my time will be spent helping Chef Darren and the crew I hired. Iron out the kinks and knock it out of the park. The concept is pretty cool, tapping into the deep rooted railway history of Old Strathcona while presenting fun and unique food in an environment that will attract all types.

This will be my third opening and I am beginning to actually become proud of how monstrous each opening is. As well as the huge amount of patience and support from friends, family and loved ones.
